After the success of ViralURL.com and ViralFollowers.com, Colin Klinkert and Frank Bauer have done the figures and just put a bid in to purchase Twitter.com
Is this a great April fools joke that will spread virally over Twitter during the next 24 hours?
Probably the first of many April fools jokes that will be shared and retweeted on Twitter over the coming day.
Excellent marketing behind it though, watch and learn – I know I have.

A mini site is a simple 2 or 3 page website, that sells (most typically) a single product.
That product can be anything from a short PDF report to a fully blown high ticket physical product. The product is irrelevant, what counts is the business model.
A mini site is quite possibly the simplest online business model there is, for several reasons:
You can set up a mini site easily
You don’t require much technical expertise to create a mini site
You can have a mini site online in just a day or so
I have a special report to give to you that will show you how to create a mini site.
But most people are doing it without even realizing it.
Why?
Because they’re sending traffic to affiliate products without capturing email addresses.
This means these affiliates are flushing about 85%-90% of their profits away.
It’s sad.
But it’s true.
And it needed to be said.
Because the vast majority of money on the internet is made on the back-end (i.e. on follow up offers served up after the initial sale).
This brings us to the key to easy affiliate profits: lead capture.
New and inexperienced affiliates spend all their time building up the business of the product owner.
It’s the product owner that’s capturing the email addresses and if you aren’t capturing emails, you’re building their business and they’re making all the profits with the follow up.
Smart affiliates spend their time leveraging somebody else’s product to build their own business that makes them money 365 days a year!
ALWAYS capture the emails of the traffic you create.
The problem is, most affiliate don’t have a clue how to do it and to be honest with you, I didn’t know how to do it for a long time. So how do you send traffic to another person’s site and still capture the buyer’s email address? It’s a dilemma for most people.
What you need:
Your own domain name, I use NameCheap to register my domain names, use the coupon code “SPRINGSUN” without the quotes during March for a discount.
Webhosting, I use HostMonster but you do have to pay yearly upfront, if your strapped for cash then HostGator is the hosting company to go with, loads of my internet marketing friends use them and their customer service is excellent.
Autoresponder, I use Aweber to follow up with prospective customers because it has the best deliverability rates in the industry.
A HTML editor, I use DreamWeaver but Kompozer is free.
Watch the video below on how to create a squeeze page using Kompozer.
All you need to do is build a squeeze page, add in your Aweber code (with either the forward url or confirmation url set to the affiliate site you want to drive traffic to) and upload it to your hosting account, now all you have to do is drive traffic to your squeeze page to capture emails and start building your own business.
