Writers Block
Writers block, does it really exist?
Or is it just another case of excuses or results?
Chelsea Filan, another student of Alex Jeffreys has written an excellent blog post all about writers block.
I am sure we have all been there, staring at that blank page, not knowing what the hell to write.
Here is a great tip that I learned from a speed writing course – Don’t stare at the blank page!
“What?” – I hear you say.
Simply switched your monitor off and start typing. Try it! After you have finished typing switch your monitor back on and see what you have written. Your first draft is never going to be perfect – hell, mine are far from perfect even after the tenth edit!
Draw from your experiences, if you have achieved something, write about it, and if you happen to be involved in the Alex Jeffreys coaching program I have a feeling you will be achieving great things.
Just get it going.
Until next time…

Hey Martin,
Will have to go and read Chelsea’s post as I often get the dreaded ‘block’.
Starting to get easier to more I write.
I’m quickly going round trying to find who I have missed for my blogroll so will add you now.
All the best
Mark

@Mark, yup, quite agree with you there, the more I write the more I write and the more I want to write.
@Dean, Thanks, the recent visitors on display on the sidebar is a widget you get from http://www.mybloglog.com all you have to do is sign up, verify your blog, then they give you the code to paste in a text widget.
Great Post – I suffer from writers block all the time. I always thought everyone could just write perfectly the first edit. I had no idea that editing was normal. Makes me feel a lot better. Thanks for the tips!!
