The Money Aint In The List

The money is in the list… The money is in the list.
Everyone is telling you to build a list, then you will make money online.

Crap…

You may make the odd sale here and there but the money just aint gonna flow if you’re promoting, promoting, promoting.

The Money is actually in your relationship with your list.

Let me say that again, the money is in your relationship with your list.

You need to build and nurture that relationship, treat your list as you would a loved one, a mate, your best friend, like your list, love your list.

A relationship is two way, get your list to interact with you, get them to ask questions, answer those questions, send them a link to a cool video on YouTube, direct them to an article on your blog, tell them stories, get them to post comments on your blog, squidoo lenses, twitter, anything to get that two way interaction going.

Provide value…

and be yourself.

Take Frank Kern for example, the guy’s a freakin genius.
He sends out an email to his list promoting a product, tells people NOT to buy from his link because he was too lazy to make a bonus for it, tells them to buy from someone who actually is offering a bonus, and Frank still makes sales, correction, Frank makes one hell of a lot of sales.

Think about it.

Until next time…

Excuses Or Results?

Having suffered from man flu for the last week, which I am sure I caught from Alex during the first webinar – that’d be a new one, viruses actually being spread over the internet :)

I know Alex, excuses or results…

I have completed my 90 day plan and have got my daily did and to do sheets setup and going.

If you are running or plan to run an online business then I highly recommend you take your time to plan exactly what you are going to do tomorrow, today.  Then tomorrow list all the things that you actually did.  Trust me, it’s quite an eye opener.

So on with the show…

Module 1 of the Alex Jeffreys coaching program was the “Forward to Basics” module which was over 2 hours worth of quality information on the mindset needed and the grounding for our businesses to become successful, we all know what happened to the guy that built his house on the sand…

As Alex says “Fashion Fades but Style Sticks”

After that, there was over 2 hours of Q&A, In the end I think Alex didn’t leave until after 4am, what a guy!!

Unfortunately I couldn’t stay much after the 1am mark so had to listen to the replay.

Yesterday morning I was excited to find the “Profit Pulling Platform with training” in the members area which I promptly went through, I checked out all the training and the website, decided to create a confirmation page to go along with the site (which should increase my double opt-in rate), and uploaded it to my server.

You can check it out here:

Yesterday evening Alex hosted the second webinar which I will cover in a future blog post.

All in all quite a hectic day.

Today has been more relaxed, some blog writing, blog commenting and some further planning.  There may even be a product in the pipeline, but ssshhhh!!

Until next time…

3 Tactics Needed To Survive Online As An Affiliate Marketer
By Martin Lodey

All affiliate marketers are looking for that successful market that gives the fattest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available to them. Actually, especially for the newbie, it can be far more difficult than that. It consists of good marketing practices, dedication and hard work. These 3 tactics that I am about to share with you have worked online before and continue to work in the affiliate marketing online world today. Using these 3 tactics together will allow you to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing world.

1. Use unique websites to market each product, you are promoting, separately

Do not just lump everything together. Domain names and web hosting are so cheap today, saving a few dollars on webhosting could cost you many more in sales. It is far better to dedicate a site to just a single product.

Include a product review on the website so the visitor gets that initial understanding of what the product is about, be honest in your review and highlight any down sides that you may have found to the product. It is a good idea to include a testimonial or two on the site from users of the product.

You can also write additional articles highlighting how you have used the product, some extra tips, or possibly even a tutorial, you can include these as additional pages on your website. Be sure to make your pages attractive to the eye, and include a clear ‘call to action’.

2. Use an opt-in form on your site to capture visitors emails.

You have to offer something to your visitors in exchange for their name and email address. Free reports, audios or videos are good, try to offer something unique that cannot be found else where for free. Position the sign-up form at the very top of your page so that it cannot be missed. Create autoresponder messages to follow up with your prospects as, according to research, a sale is closed usually on or around the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only 2 things can happen when someone visits your website, either a closed sale or the visitor leaving never to return again. By capturing email addresses you can send useful and timely information into their inboxes. Make sure the content is directed towards specific reasons to buy the product but do not make it sound too much like a sales pitch.

Include compelling subject lines in your emails to get them opened and read, focus on what the product can do for them, especially highlight ‘emotional triggers’ – this will make the visitor return to your site. Try to avoid using words such as ‘free’ and ‘money’ as these are likely to trigger spam filters. If your email ends up in the spam folder, chances are it will never be read. Convince those that signed up for your free offer that they will be missing out if they do not purchase your product or service.

3. Generate targeted traffic.

Just think, if your website visitor has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, chances of making a sale are zero, they will be in the category ‘never to return to your website’. Get targeted visitors by writing articles for publication in e-zines or e-reports, this way you can locate publications that focus on your target customers.

Try to write two or three articles per week of about 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing articles and submitting them to directories you can generate as many as 100 targeted visitors to your site in a day.

If your budget extends to it, you could also use pay per click methods to drive highly targeted visitors to your site.

Always track your visitors as it is very important to know which methods are working and which are not. Once you know this you can dedicate more time to testing and tweaking the methods, that do work for you, to achieve an optimum conversion rate.

The three tactics above are not difficult to do, they just require a bit of time and a little planning on your part.

Try to use these tips to promote several affiliate marketing programs. You can achieve a good source of passive income and survive in the world of affiliate marketing.

Besides, just think of all those huge paychecks you will be receiving…
